Короткий А.И.## Numerical implementation of retroospective model of thermal convection of high viscous fluid## Reporter: Tsepelev I.A.The issues of numerical modeling of the retrospective problem of thermal convection of a high inhomogeneous incompressible conducting fluid are considered. These models are used, for example, when studying the processes of evolution of sedimentary basins and salt diapirs in the crust, heat convection in the Earth's mantle, the movement of continents under the influence of mantle flow and many other problems in geophysics. The numerical simulation of the retrospective problems for these models is a relatively new direction in the field of geodynamics. Attention to these problems is increasing due to the increased performance of modern computers and the expanding range of applications.
