Eco-villages: principles of classification and forming of models of development of an area

Based on the experience of the field ethnographic study the Omsk region ecovillages, two variants of their classification are proposed. The difference between these variants is due to the criteria underlying them. Ideological and religious motives of the formation new ecovillages are chosen as a criterion according to the first variant. In the second case, the classification is based on the level of association with other settlements, or other forms of human activity. The obtained results are considered as a model or principle of formation of any new settlements. The possibility of applying these results to archaeological and ethnographic studies is discussed.
