The birch bark things of population of Narym Priobye and Prichulymye in the XVII - first half of the XIX centuries. (ethno-archaeological aspect)

Summary: The article analyzes the birch bark implements from archaeological sources of the 17 th – first half of the 19 th centuries, and ethnographic collections, which were collected from Southern Selkups, Chulym Turks and Eastern Khanty. Authors proposed the description of archaeological birch bark things, reveal the main technological methods, general and specific technique used in its manufacture, draw the preliminary conclusions about the Chulym-Selkup borrowings of individual techniques, distributed in the territory of the Narym Ob’ and Prichulymye.
