Performance analysis of dual MRC diversity system over η-μ multipath fading channel

In this paper, dual MRC diversity receiver operating over multipath fading is considered. The probability density function and cumulative distribution function of output signal of wireless communication system operating over η-μ multipath fading are calculated. These closed form expressions are used for evaluation of the outage probability and the bit error probability of wireless communication system. Furthermore, in this paper, the level crossing rate of the output signal of wireless communication system operating over η-μ multipath fading is determined. This result can be used for calculation of the average fade duration of wireless communication system. Numerical results are graphically presented to show influence of fading parameters on system performance.
